Shepherds were in the fields near Bethlehem... An angel from the Lord suddenly appeared to them... The angel said to them, "Don’t be afraid!" Another angelic appearance spreads the word of the virgin birth. Why shepherds? ... The news the angel brought was to bring great joy to ALL people.
Genesis 16:7 The angel of the Lord found Hagar near a spring in the desert. There are over 100 verses concerning angels in the Bible, maybe we should take more notice of them. The first mention is this one quoted above and is also concerning a pregnancy! I find that interesting!
