Thought 19

Psalm 91:10

No sickness will come near your house.

Not only will you be secure, but all your family too. All those who live in your house. Isn’t that good to know? As we make the Lord our personal refuge, our families are supernaturally protected from disaster. Many people have experienced natural disasters and can testify to the Lord’s protection for their homes or their children. Tornados have been diverted and tidal waves stopped as people have claimed the protection of the Lord and spoken to the storm as Jesus did (Matthew 8:26).

Pray for the protection of those you love today and throughout the coming weeks that the Lord will keep any disaster far from you.

Praise God that He is in control of the elements.

Praise Him for stories like Jonah’s when He showed His power over the elements.

Thought 20

Psalm 91:11

He will put his angels in charge of you

How I wish I could see angels and what they were doing. Can you understand the the God of Heaven is giving individual instructions to one of His heavenly host to protect you, His child? I think if ever, as some believe, we will see a video play back of our lives at the end of time, we will be amazed to see just how much protection we have had. The super heros of today are impoverished when compared to the angelic protection provided by our God.

Praise the Lord that He cares so much for you as an individual that He provides you with a personal security guard.

Pray that you will stay inside His refuge, and that nothing will tempt you to step out of it.

Thought 21

Psalm 91:11

… to protect you in all your ways.

The word for “ways” here suggests the course of life. So please understand that this is not speaking only to pastors or missionaries, or those you consider better or more worthy than yourself. Whatever road you choose to follow, the Lord’s protection is there. He wants His children in every walk of life, in every field of work, to be witnesses for Him wherever they go.

Praise God that His blessings are for all, and not just those who choose the church as a career.

Pray for any you know who are choosing their future paths in education or career at this time.
