We are members of His household. To me that suggests living under the same roof. That's what it is like to be a member of God's household. He is always in the house, always ready to chat. Whatever you are going through right now, He has the answer.

All people can go to the Father in one Spirit. Every person on earth has the same opportunity, but sadly a high percentage do not know it. Let us not confuse coming to the Father with going shopping, getting what we want and going home again. It is about relationship.

In his body he has made his people one by breaking down the wall of hostility that kept them apart. So he made peace. Even today there are still many disagreements, but praise God that there are many groups who are working across denominations to bring understanding and fellowship.

But now through Christ Jesus you have been brought near. We must beware of those who twist the Bible, or mix God's word with their own ideas. It is very sad when people with the best intentions say things that are not Biblical at all.

God saved you through faith as an act of grace. You had nothing to do with it. Being saved is a gift from God. We didn't deserve anything that Jesus accomplished for us on the cross, and He knew that but He did it anyway.

If we are down in the dumps it is because we have moved, not because God is having an off day! John was not deterred by circumstances, and was spending time listening to the Lord. That is the only way to deal with days when we feel down or frustrated.

We were dead because of our failures, but he made us alive together with Christ. In fact life with Jesus after death will be infinitely better than life on earth before death has ever been for any of us. Jesus said that He came to give us abundant life.

I pray that God would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Christ better. I am encouraged that Paul says that he continues to ask for the same thing. We all need to know Him better than we already do.

In him you were sealed with the Holy Spirit whom he promised. The Holy Spirit shines through our eyes, but also reveals Himself in our language, and our actions. That seal will grow and glow brighter as we grow in our knowledge of the Lord and our closeness to Him.

God also decided to choose us through Christ so that we would praise him and give him glory. I understand that God put me on the earth for His purposes. Remind yourself that He wants you to live for the praise of His glory; that is today's blessing.
