The seven angels who had the seven trumpets got ready to blow them. The number seven appears 36 times in the 22 chapters of Revelation. The number seven has a sense of completion. On this last day of our 30 day study let's reflect on what we have learned.
The smoke from the incense went up from the angel's hand to God along with the prayers of God's people. Does it encourage you that every prayer you pray becomes incense before God in Heaven? That is if you are one who can be described as "one of God's people".
The seventh seal, silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then seven angels, and they were given seven trumpets. Four living creatures never stop saying "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come". So what has made them silent?
A large crowd from every nation, tribe, people, and language. No one was able to count how many people there were, standing in front of the throne and the lamb. They were wearing white robes, holding palm branches in their hands. Is Salvation just believing that Jesus died for you?
I saw another angel coming from the east with the seal of the living God. This seal is different to the others we have read about. The "servants of God" are to be protected from the effects of the stopping of the winds. Would you class yourself in that category?
I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to keep them from blowing on the land, the sea, or any tree. Can you imagine never having any wind at all? Even the winds and waves obey Him.
The frightening day of their anger has come, and who is able to endure it? Isn't it amazing that God has already warned us about everything that is coming? John's question is important to us today "Who can withstand the day of the Lord"?
The kings of the earth, the important people, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and all the slaves and free people … said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us!" Serious diseases are no respecter of persons, they attack rich and poor, famous and infamous! Major disasters are the same.
The sky vanished like a scroll being rolled up. Every mountain and island was moved from its place. Malachi 3 asks "Who will be able to endure the day he comes?" The Lord has been warning us of these things for a long time. He wants us to be ready.
The sixth seal. A powerful earthquake. The sun turned black. The full moon turned red as blood. The stars fell from the sky. Do you feel inadequate to face what is coming? Tell yourself that, just like Esther (Esther 4:14), you were born for such a time as this.
