Revelation 1-3 – Day 29

Revelation 3:21-22

To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with My Father on His throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

The Thought

The image of millions of obedient believers sitting at the side of Jesus on His throne is a difficult one to imagine. We must not think of the throne as being like an earthly throne for an earthly king. But more an inner chamber where major decisions are made. These decisions we must make will not be difficult or complicated, because we will be accompanying the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. And He knows everything about everyone who will be there.

To qualify for the privilege of being there, we must be victorious! Victorious in our earthly lives. Dedicated to living in obedience to Father God and resisting the devil (James 4:7) as Jesus did (Matthew 4). Being willing to suffer for the truth.

Action

We looked at the last part of today’s verse above early in this study, (Day 9) but it is good to remind ourselves regularly to listen, take note and obey what the Spirit is saying to the churches. What might He be saying to your church this week?

Read Matthew 4 to see how Jesus resisted temptation.
