Psalm 91:15

I will be with you when you are in trouble.

I will be with you when you are in trouble. Please note that the Christian life does not mean no trouble! But it does mean a way out of the trouble, it does mean passing through the storm in peace, it does mean a Godly result…

Please note that the Christian life does not mean no trouble! But it does mean a way out of the trouble, it does mean passing through the storm in peace, it does mean a Godly result as long as we stay on His side, and don’t waver (James 1:6-7). It does mean that whatever the circumstance, God is present with us (Jehovah Shamma). This verse does not say “I might be with Him”, or “perhaps I’ll be with him if I’m having a good day”! God never has bad days, and his promises are forever true. Hallelujah!

Praise Him today that He is with you every step of the way.

Praise Him that He is having a good day, and never has a bad one.

Pray for a rapid solution to any problem you might be facing at the moment.

Pray for the Lord to confirm His presence with you today.

Psalm 91:15

I will save you and honor you.

Not only does the Lord promise to deliver us, He promises to honour us. What does that mean for you? Politicians, actors, scientists, and people who do something heroic get honoured by the world, but think about what it means to be honoured by God. He is the one who does the heroic act, He is the one who rescues, saves delivers, and then He honours us for allowing Him to use us. He says to those who trust Him “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight;” (Isaiah 42:1). If you continue to trust Him, then one day He will say that about you in front of all who gather before Him at the end of time.

Pray that you will be in the honour roll on the last day.

Pray for the Lord’s help to stay the course.

Praise Him that the honour He gives is eternal.

Psalm 91:16

I will satisfy you with a long life.

One of the ways God honours us is with a long healthy life. Who wants a long life if they are ill and suffering? God’s gift of life will be one which satisfies and testifies to others that our God is great. Just before the flood, God decided that “the years of man should be 120” (Genesis 6:3). Many believers are taking this word literally. What a witness it would be to the world if the church was full of people who lived very long, active, satisfying lives. If the enemy took none of us out before our time and we were able to die knowing we had achieved all the Lord had called us to do, the church would be a different place.

Pray for the long life the Lord has planned for you and your family and those in your church.

Pray that nothing and no-one will hinder those plans.

Praise God for an abundant life (John 10:10) and all that that means for you.
