Gideon – 23

Nothing happens by chance with the Lord. Maybe you can think of a time when you were in the right place at just the right moment. Praise Him for the things He organises, down to the finest detail. Praise Him that nothing happens by chance in His Kingdom.

Judges 7:13

When Gideon got there, he heard a man telling his friend a dream.

The Thought

It was the eve of the battle and God wakened Gideon to give him one last confirmation that all was going to be well. Gideon went down to the enemy camp and arrived at just the right moment to hear just the right person recounting his dream.

What a stroke of luck!

No! Nothing happens by chance in the army of the Lord. God gave the enemy the dream, and God took Gideon down to hear it, and it was God who sent him with a servant, just in case he needed a witness later to what he had heard.

Are you convinced that God can direct you so literally and so precisely? Maybe you can think of a time when you were in the right place at just the right moment.

Do you dream and expect a spiritual interpretation? Mediums and clairvoyants will do that for a paying client. But they do not have the correct spiritual basis and must be avoided.

Jesus Christ or someone with His gifting is the only one to go to for dream interpretation.

How sad it is that many well meaning christians have said that the spiritual gifts were evil. Satan can invent nothing, he can only copy what God has already made available. We need to be sure we are going to the right source.

Many people in the Bible had very important and significant dreams and received an interpretation directly from the Lord.

Action

Pray for the Lord to show you things that you thought were just by chance when in fact it was the Lord engineering the situation. Ask Him to open your eyes to see Him at work in your life.

Praise Him for the things He organises, down to the finest detail. Praise Him that nothing happens by chance in His Kingdom.

Dare to ask Him to give you dreams, and then the meaning of them too.
