The most important thing about Joseph is that he stayed faithful to his God, Jehovah. His relationship with The Lord is remarkable all the way through his life. The gentle spirit he has is obvious in many episodes. The way he forgives his brothers is a challenge to us all.
If ever there was a verse about confidence and faith in our wonderful God, this is that verse. There had been no rain for three years. But in the first verse of this chapter God told Elijah that He was about to break that curse, and provide rain once more.
According to where you live in the world, the weather for you is changing at this time. For me in Europe longer and warmer days are a blessing. The gardens are beginning to have assorted colours as spring flowers are in full bloom and summer things are full of promise.
We continue the exciting story from yesterday with another miracle. It shows us that God truly is in charge of His creation. And if He wants to change things, He can! He also will do miracles for His chosen people. That means for you and me! Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

The Holy Land was, and still is, farming country, and as such it depends a lot on the weather to produce the necessary harvest. The wrong sort of weather at the wrong time (summer snow) can affect all our lives indirectly because prices rise at the least sign of shortage.
If you have ever spent time watching the clouds move across the sky, sometimes very slowly, sometimes rapidly, you will know that they do not stay the same shape for very long. This is such a good verse for anyone who feels as though they are having a bad day!
This is not strictly a word about weather. But the sun and moon are directly connected with our weather patterns so I decided it was OK to use this verse which spoke to me loud and clear. I have also been feeling that I should do a study on idols.
It is hard to imagine the whole earth covered with water, and even harder to imagine a wind going over the whole earth. Weathermen talk of various winds coming from different directions bringing us changing weather patterns. They would probably tell us today that a single wind is not possible.
I was pondering and praying over a subject for our study in April. And as I reflected on this month, I thought about the weather, because it is the month when we can really expect weather changes. At least in the places where I have lived. Winter is now passed.
