The Thought

The seven angels who had the seven trumpets got ready to blow them. The number seven appears 36 times in the 22 chapters of Revelation. The number seven has a sense of completion. On this last day of our 30 day study let’s reflect on what we have learned.

The number seven has a sense of completion. Remember the 7th day in Genesis 1. Whole books have been written about the meanings of numbers but suffice it here to note that the number seven appears 36 times in the 22 chapters of Revelation. There are 7 churches at the beginning, then the 7 seals we have looked at this month, followed by 7 trumpets, and 7 thunders (Revelation 10:3-4). Later we read of 7 bowls (Revelation 16) and 7 plagues (Revelation 21).

On this last day of our 30 day study let’s reflect on what we have learned, let’s not be afraid of the bad things, but concentrate on the good.

Father God gives His children freedom to choose what we think about, He is not an overpowering force that tells us we must do certain things in a certain way. At any moment in our lives we are free to choose good or bad. We have the Bible, we can read it or not. We are free to decide whether to hurt or to heal, to curse or to bless, to bring peace or to make war. He doesn’t “make” us do anything.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1)! Rejoice in that freedom today.

Action

Praise God for the freedom He gives us, and for the inner peace we can have as we follow Him. Choose to involve Jesus in any decisions you may have to make today.

Thank God for His timing of each event that we read about in the book of Revelation. Ask for His help to cope with whatever might be in the future for you and those you love.
