Mysteries and Secrets – Day 29

Babylon, the mother of prostitutes. This woman is really a mystery spiritual personality and very few earthly leaders seem to have escaped her clutches. She is not a real person, but a demonic being sent from hell, she can have a powerful effect on people on earth, not just leaders.

Revelation 17:5

The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the great, the mother of prostitutes and, of the abominations of the earth.

The Thought

Seeing the name written permanently on anyone’s forehead would be a mystery, but many times since this revelation was given, prophets have seen in the Spirit a name written on the forehead of people for whom they were interceding. That can be a revelation from God about the true identity of the person being prayed for, or it can be a spiritual message about a problem that person is dealing with or needs to be delivered from.

The beginning of this chapter tells us that this lady is the reason for the problems of many people on earth, especially world leaders. Come I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters. With her the kings of the earth committed adultery and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries (Revelation 17:1-2).

This woman is really a mystery spiritual personality and very few earthly leaders seem to have escaped her clutches. She is not a real person, but a demonic being sent from hell, she can have a powerful effect on people on earth, not just leaders. Sadly many ordinary mortals have literally committed adultery and been intoxicated with unhealthy produce.

Action

Pray today for those people who produce things that are poisonous for us, that they would meet Jesus and change careers. Pray too for any you know of who have given in to these temptations.

Read Revelation 17 today, and think about this woman. It seems that very few people have escaped her clutches at some time in their lives, especially world leaders. Pray today asking God which world leaders need your prayers, and pray for them as you go through your day.

Prayer is our best weapon against all the evils in the world. Resolve today to pray more.
