Haggai – Day 29

Many in our world today are praying for a turning in the world situation. Many prophets are declaring that we are on the edge of something big when many people in high positions who have deceived the public will be brought to account. There are conflicting news stories out there.

Haggai 2:19

Is there yet any seed left in the barn? Until now, the vine and the fig tree, the pomegranate and the olive tree have not borne fruit.

From this day on I will bless you.

The Thought

After reminding the Israelites of their depressing situation of hunger and thirst, that last phrase tells us why God wanted the people to remember the date, as we said yesterday. It was to be the anniversary of the beginning of new blessings from their Lord. Exciting times ahead!

Many in our world today are praying for a turning in the world situation. Many prophets are declaring that we are on the edge of something big when many people in high positions who have deceived the public will be brought to account. There are conflicting news stories out there, and we need to pray for truth to be told and reported.

Last month we looked at the subject of TRUTH, with many different verses. One that leaps to mind as I write this today is Psalm 51:6 where David is confessing his sin, and acknowledging that God desires truth in the inner parts.

We all know that in our heart of hearts, but sometimes things get so complicated and we listen to the wrong voices.

Action

Read Psalm 51 today and feel David’s misery after his sin by taking someone else’s wife, then killing her husband! Verses 10-12 were made into a song which has been sung by many believers across the world. Listen to it today and be blessed. If you are feeling guilty of anything, then give that to Jesus. He took it to the cross even before you did anything wrong!

Pray for God to bless the truth tellers in our world today, and to convict those who have been influenced by the enemy. It is never too late to change!
