Separation – Day 20

Matthew 13:49

This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous.

The Thought

The thing that strikes me in this verse is that there is only the wicked on one side and the righteous on the other!! That’s scary! It brings to mind pictures of a political demonstration where police are desperately trying to keep sparring groups apart. The angels will be doing the same on that last “earth day”! Many people will be saying, “But I went to church every Sunday”. Others will claim to have prayed every night before getting into bed!

Some of the saddest verses in the Bible are found in Matthew 7:22-23. “Many will say to me on that day, “Lord, did we not prophecy in Your Name, and in Your name drive out demons and in Your Name perform many miracles?” Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from Me, you evil doers.””

It is a life lived totally for Jesus that saves us, nothing else, and we must pray for revival.

Personally, there is so much in me that wants the Lord to come back quickly, but the the other half of me says “Not yet Lord”. I know too many people who are not believers, too many who would be classed in the wrong group.

Action

Praise God for the consistency of His message. Praise Him that He still wants all to be saved. Also praise Him too for the good things happening right across the world. The sound of revival is coming, if we know where to listen. The mainstream media is not too keen on good stories of redemption!

Pray for your part in bringing people into the kingdom. Let’s pray for those we know who are not yet believers. Pray with confidence, and expect results today.
