Separation – Day 31

Romans 8:39

Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Thought

Four verses after the verse we looked at yesterday, Paul finished the answer to his own question. The answer is worth repeating out loud several times! Whoever you are, whether you believe in Him or not, wherever you are in the world, whatever age you are, whatever you are doing, or have done, Jesus loves you. It is an amazing fact that while we were still sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). Rejoice in this truth today. God’s love and you are elements that God designed never to be separated.

That is what the end of John’s visions in the book of Revelation is trying to get across to his readers. There is a battle going on in the world, a spiritual battle between good and evil. It is the same battle that began with a serpent in the garden of Eden. Eve succumbed, Adam followed suit. (It is interesting how it only takes one person to do the wrong thing, then for others to “eat that fruit”, and consequently to follow that downward path.)

Action

Take time to slowly read aloud verses Romans 8:35-39 to yourself today. Ask yourself if you truly understand what it means to NEVER be separated from God’s love?

Praise Him for His everlasting all encompassing love, which is so much bigger than anything we experience here on the earth.

Pray for a fresh experience of that love today, for yourself and for those you care for. Pray for a deep conviction that you will never be separated from His love.

What a great thought with which to finish this study!

(Remind yourself of John 3:16 as you pray).
