Separation – Day 3

Genesis 1:6-7

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it.

Genesis 1:14

And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times and days and years.

The Thought

Back at the beginning of time, in His act of creating our beautiful world, God did a lot of separating. He drew the blue-print for the earth, and He planned the times and seasons. He is the same today. What’s more, He has plans for everything and everyone, and He has timing for everything.

The water that was above the expanse all came down at the time of Noah, but the sun and moon to govern the seasons are still operating in obedience to their Creator. Amazing!

Years ago I was privileged to visit the point in South Africa where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. Not Cape of Good Hope as many believe, but further East round the coast, the very small cape Agulhas. Visitors can stand and look out at the sea and the separation in the water is obvious. These two oceans meet, but are still distinctly separate, with different plant life, and different species living in the two oceans. It is fascinating!

Praise God for His plans for mankind. And praise Him for His wonderful creation. Praise Him for His perfect timing in everything.

Can you trust Him with His plans for your life, your family, your church, your nation?

Pray for those responsible for your church to recognise God’s plans, and His timing. Pray for those responsible for your town or city to hear from God about His plans for your area.
