Renewing the Mind – Day 31

1 Corinthians 2:16

… But we have the mind of Christ.

The Thought

What a great statement with which to finish this study. Do you believe it? Put in context, this verse is saying that as we grow spiritually we become more like Jesus. This is because our spirits will be in tune with His Spirit. Verse 12 of the same chapter says “We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.”

As this study is being prepared early 2021 the world is being ravaged by the covid virus. People are afraid of getting sick, afraid of death, afraid of the vaccine, bothered by the numbers of reported deaths. Many do not trust the news media.

Many others believe the whole thing is an invention of a world government which is trying to subdue humankind.

Whatever your thoughts about the world situation, Jesus sees the end from the beginning. It was not a surprise to Him, and while the devil thinks he is ruling the world, Jesus’ followers are rising up everywhere. The internet is being used mightily for God. Believers in every country of the world are growing in number and in their knowledge of Him. We can praise God as Joseph did in Genesis 50:20 You (satan) intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.

I pray that as you come to the end of this study, it will not be an ending. My prayer is that it will be a beginning of moving on to greater things with your Lord and Saviour.

Action

Praise Him for all He has taught you. Praise Him for all the exciting interesting things still to be learned.

Pray for an understanding of “what God has freely given us”. Also pray for the confidence to live in that realization as your mind is being renewed.
