Creation – Day 16
A diversion here from our Genesis verses, before we see mankind being created. Because whoever is speaking here was obviously alive long before man appeared! Even before any of the animals or sea creatures, and before even the earth was formed. Think for a moment who this could be.
The Lord brought me forth as the first of His works, before the deeds of old. I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning when the world came to be.
A diversion here from our Genesis verses, before we see mankind being created. Because the “person” who is speaking here was obviously alive long before man appeard! Even before any of the animals or sea creatures, and before even the earth was formed.
Think for a moment who this could be. An angel? One of those strange creatures that surround the throne of God in the book of Revelation? The devil? Jesus?
Just to be sure we understand that at the VERY beginning means before time began to tick away, this being, whoever he is continues with the following poetic verses;-
“When there were no watery depths, I was given birth,
When there were no springs overflowing with water;
Before the mountains were settled in place,
before the hills, I was given birth,
Before He made the world or its fields, or any of the dust of the earth.
I was there when He set the heavens in place,
When He marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
When He established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
When He gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep His command,
And when He marked out the foundation of the earth.
Then I was constantly at His side.
I was filled with delight day after day,
Rejoicing always in His presence
Rejoicing in his whole world, and delighting in mankind.”
Read the complete chapter of Proverbs 8 to discover what or who is this being who describes creation.
Pray for a greater understanding of the magnitude of God, and be more amazed than ever before about this Enormous Super-Being loving you, and caring that you know His Son Jesus who came to visit planet earth to show us the Father’s love.
What a mighty God we serve!
