Habakkuk – Day 23

For Habakkuk at that time this could well have been an encouragement and remembering past history, he could be confident that God would be a tangible presence in His temple in Jerusalem where amazing things had happened in the past. I am sure he was remembering Solomon dedicating the temple.

Habakkuk 2:20

The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him.

The Thought

God finished His long monologue with this statement. For Habakkuk at that time this could well have been an encouragement and remembering past history, he could be confident that God would be a tangible presence in His temple in Jerusalem where amazing things had happened in the past. I’m sure he was remembering Solomon dedicating the temple when nobody could stand because The Lord’s presence was so evident (1 Kings 8:10-11 and 2 Chronicles 7:1-3).

Can you imagine the “earth being silent” but I do believe it is possible.

When I experienced the visions of The Lion of Judah several years ago one of the churches I visited “in the Spirit” was an outdoor church in a forest where several animals came to the worship service. It was one of the best experiences ever, and I believe that one day when Holy Spirit fills His church the earth will feel it and co-operate with Him.

A few years later we were ministering in a church gathering in Dallas Texas and a man came to tell me that he read my first book to his children and when they read about that church, they wanted to try it. So they did! The result was that outside in their yard, the dogs, cats and hens came and joined them, and the birds in the trees stayed silent!

The Lord is good to all, He loves to do things that please us. Especially with children with faith!

Action

Imagine today the earth being silent, or maybe just your household or your office. How would you feel if it was real.

Read one of the Old Testament references above and pray for the Lord to fill your christian gathering, whether a few people in a home or an office, or hundreds in a church assembly. The Lord loves everyone and wants to touch all of us with His healing and his encouragement.
