Jude – Day 30

Jude knows that Father God is the only One who can really do the work that needs to be done in each of us. Throughout his letter he has urged us to stay awake, to not assume that others are like we are, to stay connected to our Heavenly Father.

Jude 24

To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy …

The Thought

It is clear from this verse, that Jude knows that Father God is the only One who can really do the work that needs to be done in each of us. But throughout his short letter he has urged us to stay awake, to not assume that others are like we are, and to stay connected to our Heavenly Father. He is the only One that can really keep us on the right road to Heaven.

Ever since time began, God’s enemy has tried to affect the lives of God’s people! He has seduced, he has lied, he has twisted the truth. And he has used violence in many ways, spiritual as well as physical. Much of Jude’s letter is to warn those who are leaders to be aware, and make no assumptions that because people join your meetings, that they are wanting to follow Jesus. Many come out of genuine interest, but many will come for other reasons.

• They have nothing else to do on Sunday mornings.
• They like the music and the friendship.
• They have heard you do healing miracles and they need a healing.
• There is good coffee and biscuits.
• They like what is said, but have no intention at all of giving up the religious practices they have been involved in since childhood.

These people need much prayer, for open ears and an open heart. We must bind the spirits who come in with them, and pray for Holy Spirit to open their eyes.

Action

Pray for your fellowship today, for wisdom for the leaders, so that they make good choices.

Pray for anyone you might suspect is coming for the ride but is not heading for the same destination (Heaven) as you.
