Mountains – Day 28

Revelation 6:14

The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.

The Thought

Without doubt, this last book of the Bible is the most difficult to understand and believe, especially for an adult mind which has been educated in the ways of the world! Maybe that is why Jesus told us that we cannot enter Heaven unless we become like little children. (Matthew 18:3).

This verse today seems strangely out of place, because in the following verses we read that those who were afraid called on the mountains to hide them. They were afraid, recognising too late that the gospel was true, that God in Heaven really was who He said He was, and that there was little hope for them. The mountains had already disappeared.

Many of those doing evil in our world today have no idea about God. They are totally in the wrong camp, either worshipping a false god, all of whom are forms of satan, or thinking they are the head of their own lives. They are blinded.

Action

Pray today for those who are blinded by satan. Too many of our world leaders deny the truth of Jesus. Many of the people in the list of “The Richest People in the world” genuinely think that the Bible falls into the category of fairy stories. They need our prayers, not our criticism.

Pray too for those who have not yet heard of Jesus, that they will have divine revelation of who He truly is.

Thank God for those who told you the truth of the gospel. And bless those who are ministering to you today.

Pray for the church across the world, that we will not hide away in old buildings, but will be active, sharing the truth of Jesus wherever He calls us to be.
