Grace – Day 10

There a many people the world over who do not go to church, but have a very close friendship with Jesus and are inviting others to share that relationship. Many across the world know the Grace of God in their lives and are living examples of His love.

Revelation 22:21

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

The Thought

The very last words of the Bible are a prayer for you and me. A prayer that the church will move into all that the Lord designed for us. As we look at the church worldwide it is not evident that we are fulfilling this desire.

But what is the church in God’s eyes? It is definitely NOT a building. Remember that Jesus said He would build His church. He didn’t stay on earth long enough to do any physical building! What He meant by that was that the truth Peter spoke out when he declared “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:16), that truth was the rock, the rock of revelation, on which the true church would be built.

There are many people the world over who do not go to church, but have a very close friendship with Jesus and are inviting others to share that relationship. There are many across the world who know God’s Grace in their lives and are living examples of His love.

All of us are called to have that personal relationship with Him, and to know His Grace and all it entails. (See the list on this post.) All of us are called to let others see that Grace flowing through us, so that they will want to know Jesus too. Sometimes we must speak about it, but often it is just the smallest gestures that make people ask themselves what is different about us.

Action

Pray today for those you will see throughout the day. If you see no-one, pray for those who live nearby, that each one will meet someone today who exhibits signs of God’s grace in a small way.

As we finish this study make a promise to yourself to concentrate more on exhibiting God’s grace in a kindness, or a thoughtful act to others each time you leave your home.
