The Last – Day 3

Jude 1:18-19

They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have The Spirit.

The Thought

Jude only had one short letter included in the scriptures, and that was not long enough to have chapters! But he included a lot of information in those 25 verses, making us believe that he had visions of what things would be like in the 21st century!

The letter is amazingly appropriate for our day when we all have experience of ungodly people who pervert the Grace of God and deny Jesus (v4), and scoffers who follow their own evil desires (v18).

Sadly many of us have family members who have turned away from Jesus and follow their own natural instincts and do not have the spirit (v19).

Many in the church world wide are saying that we must be in the last days, because of all the evil in the world, but we must remember that everything is in God’s hands, and He knows the truth about every situation, and each person on the earth. He is certainly not worried, because He has a plan!

In the last verses of his letter Jude commits his message To Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,… to the only God, our Saviour; … Jesus Christ our Lord (Jude 1:24-25).

Action

That is a prayer we can pray for all those we care for and even some that we don’t! Read the single chapter of Jude today and be amazed at how fitting it is for this modern world.

Praise God that nothing that is happening is a surprise to The Lord, and pray for His will be done in your own life and those around you, family, friends, colleagues, neighbours.
